Rewind Review: Firmwares 1.1.1 - 1.1.4

Ok, Today i am going to review the old firmwares that everyone will forget about when 2.0 comes out. Ok let's go...

1.1.1: This is one of the most influential of the 1.1's. It gave all iPhone and iPod touch users the ability to buy and download music straight off wifi. This feature is still around today, and in 2.0 the icon is changed (who knows if there are changes in the actual app). Other than that there wasn't that much that was added.

1.1.2: This wasn't a very big update at all. It was overlooked by many users of both the iPhone and iTouch. The only thing this did was break the jailbreak that most(all) apple users had. Oh, and it added the ability to add events in the calendar app.

1.1.3: Was a huge update. For many this WAS the 2.0 update.(Until now) Okay, let's start with the iTouch users. This added 5 apps that were ported from the iPhone. Including: Mail, notes, stocks, weather, and maps. This update cost $20 for a very same file that told the actual free firmware file to let these apps appear on the home screen. Now for the features that both users recieved: 1. Ability to customize home-screen by moving around apps 2. Ability to have multiple home-screens 3. Ability to add webclips to the home-screen for immediate venturing to that website 4. Added web-app support 5. Added new interface for Maps app including a faux GPS capability

1.1.4: Added security settings. Did not break jailbreaks. Some were very confused by this. This was the least important update ever.

OK, now for the scores:
1.1.1) 8.75 out of 10
1.1.2) 3.67 out of 10
1.1.3) 9.95 out of 10
1.1.4) 1.5675234 out of 10

Thanks for stopping by...
